Karim Gawad, the world number 1 arrived in South Africa today and was met by Willoughby Brits, convenor of the SACD sub-committee.

Gawad was taken to Potchefstroom where the SACD and Festival championships are being played.

He will play an exhibition this week at the Wanderers, Johannesburg and at the Pretoria Country Club, Pretoria.
