Central Gauteng made history at the annual u/19 IPT in Cape Town by winning all 4 sections – Boys A & B and Girls A & B.
In the Boys A section the Central Gauteng team of Makhosonke Ntuli, Wayne Sithole, Jarrod Rocher, Sipho Ncube and Tyrone Dial took the gold medal. Silver went to Northerns with Callan Hall, Nico Ras, Cuan Verhage, Luthando Mathebula and Jason Lazarus. Bronze went to EP with Dewald van Niekerk, Vaughan Meyer, Gershwin Forbes, Warren Bower and Yannich Adlam.
In the girls A section Central Gauteng’s team was Mariska Wiese, Panashe Sithole, Jaime Leslie, Daniela Scriba and Ashleigh Stoger. Silver went to Kwazulu Natal’s team of Noel Lee, Anele Ngubane, Ana Chemaly, Bridgette Mennie and Jess Britton. Northerns took the Bronze with Nothando Ntimane, Madeleine Lambley, Amy Mentz, Nicoline van Dam and Monica Jansen van Rensburg.
The Boys B section gold winners were Clinton Ndebele, Bradley Cherry, Brett le Roux, Jared Swart, Declan Connelly and Andrew Berry for Central Gauteng. Silver went to the Northerns team of Barry Coetzee, Heinrich Groenewald, Phillip Nel, Michiel de Villiers, Brandon Allner and Jeandre Meyer. EP B took the bronze medal with Travis Whitehead, Liam Cadle, Denric Mulder, Stephan Southway, Tyler Whitby and Stephan Tait.
In the girls B section Central Gauteng’s gold medal winners were Cailin Doyle, Chanelle Galanatis, Kyra Buckle, Julia de Beer and Hayley Blakeman. Boland took silver with Maryna Meyer, Paula Jacobs, Elda Meyer, Jennileigh Jooste and Ziaan Birk. KZN B took bronze with Jess McDonald, Sane Sithole, Rochelle Green, Chrisli Dippenaar and Rebecca van Rooyen.
