Letter from WSA President

As key stakeholders of WSA, I wanted to personally inform you of the changes that are happening within the organization. The Board of Directors is excited to announce that it has reached an agreement with NextSquash, which is led by former Dutch Champion Tommy Berden, to provide support to WSA at both a strategic and operational level.

NextSquash has an extensive and proven track record in event management (including 2 Women’s World Championship’s) and has a wealth of squash knowledge and a widespread network within the global squash community. A press release will be sent out this week to inform other stakeholders and promoters of the partnership.

Suzie Pierrepont has made the decision to step down from her roles as North American Tour Director and Acting Tour Director, which she has held since April 2013. The Board greatly appreciates the time and effort she has put in to promote the women’s game and wish her all the best for her future endeavours.

Despite these changes, the Board wants to assure you that stability is maintained at WSA with Kim Creamer continuing her duties as COO and Elliot Selby as WSA administrator.

Finally, the Board has decided that it is a necessity to have a media relations officer regularly communicate with our stakeholders and a short-term agreement has been made with Howard Harding to involve him more, starting with the Cleveland Open. Howard will be sending out releases to his media network, and help us promote the tour, which is essential given this year is WSA’s 30^th anniversary.
