This year we will be holding 4 regional tournaments on the same weekend in October – Friday 14th to Sunday 16th. This means a player can only enter 1 regional event this year!
Each tournament will be open to all players 14 and older and under 23 by the commencement of the tournaments – 14 October 2016. Each regional event will have as many sections as needed to accommodate all entrants but will be limited to draw sizes of ether 8 or 16 players.
Depending on the breakdown of the age and amount of entrants received we may in turn also have two different age categories, u17 and u23. This will mean that strength plays strength from round 1 and also younger players of 14, 15 and 16 years will now have a chance to win a prize in their own section! Each player is guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches.
We encourage players of 14, 15 and 16 to enter!!!
There will be 4 tournaments: Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth.
The Tournament Details:
Cape Town: 14 – 16 October – WPCC
Johannesburg: 14 – 16 October – CCJ Auckland Park
Durban: 14 – 16 October – Westville
Port Elizabeth: 14 – 16 October – Crusaders
There is a guaranteed prize money pool of R14 500 per regional event with a minimum of the top 4 in each section receiving a prize!
- ENTRY FEE IS PAYABLE AT THE INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT AND NOT VIA EFT. THE FEE IS R120 PER EVENT.
Total prize money has increased from R35 000 in 2015 to R58 000 in 2016.
