Family Touch For Global Event- Intersport Monkhouse Land PSA Men’s World Squash Championship Retail Deal
A company with 75 years experience of sports retailing will mark its landmark anniversary as Official Retail Partner to the 2013 PSA Men’s World Squash Championships in Manchester (October 26-November 3).
And for Peter Monkhouse, managing director of Stockport based Intersport Monkhouse, the rights holder award is personally significant.
“My grandfather Frank Monkhouse was a keen rackets player,”he explained. “So, it’s an honour to be selected to offer the retail village for the pinnacle event in the PSA Men’s Squash calendar. And to be involved in our 75th anniversary year is extra special.
“We have been heavily involved with squash over the last 15 years acting as official retailer for the British Open, National Squash Championships and many other events. So, we are proud to be able to bring that expertise to the World Championships.”

This will be the second time Manchester has played host to the event; the first being during the World Sport 2008 series of events that were a legacy from the Commonwealth Games in 2002.
