UJ wins 8th USSA in a row

USSA Squash Final Report after team section completed: 30 June to 5 July 2019

The University of Johannesburg confirmed their dominance of University Squash with a comprehensive 24-3 over Nelson Mandela University in the team final on Friday 5 July 2019 which was hosted at UCT. UJ have now won 8 consecutive titles, their 2nd team were beaten by University Pretoria who defended their 2nd team title and Rhodes University 1st team won the B section. The University Limpopo having travelled the furthest to the event, went home clinching the Mike Gardiner Memorial Award for the Best Spirit on and off the court, for their first time. All other winners are attached. The tournament was played in great spirit on and off the court and many friendships were forged.


The tournament now moves to Grahamstown, where Rhodes University will host the event, 28 June to 3 July 2020.
