Squash: The Fastest Growing Sport In Poland

The WSF World Junior Squash Championships are taking place in July in a country of unprecedented expansion for the sport. “Squash is the fastest growing sport in Poland,” says Maciek Maciantowicz, Vice President of the Polish Squash Federation.

The annual Dave Short Masters tournament takes place from 14 to 16 June in Pietermaritzburg. Please kindly note that a decision has been taken to restrict entries to the first 250 players that enter due to limited space for the functions in the lounge at Maritzburg Golf Club. Peter Nicol & Tim Garner Boost Olympic Bid With 7 Continent Challenge

Former internationals Peter Nicol MBE and Tim Garner will contest 7 Squash Matches in 7 Days on 7 Continents in a bid to help raise the profile of Squash’s campaign to join the programme of the 2020 Olympic Games.

The Xodus 7 Continent Challenge, inspired by legendary British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes’ Land Rover 7x7x7 (ie. seven marathons in seven days on seven continents), was conceived by Garner.

The Xodus 7 Continent Challenge will see the English pair travel more than 40,000 miles and spend over 70 hours on planes over the course of a week that will be a test of endurance both mentally and physically. Continue reading

As you know the French Squash Federation organize the World Men Squash Team Championship in Mulhouse from the 9th to the 15th of June 2013.

This championship will be the last Squash world event before the I.O.C. decision regarding our registration in the 2020 Olympic Sport Program.
